My name is Jim Maxwell, I am the owner of Jmax Salon. My career began as a hairstylist 39 years ago in my hometown of Albany, New York. Through the years I have worked in every aspect of the beauty industry. Starting behind the chair, progressing to salon manager and traveling as an assistant with Paul Mitchell and Gary Gerard. The last 25 years I worked as a senior director overseeing salons in 5 different states.

Jmax Salon is a DREAM come true for me. My passion & love for people drives me to continue in this industry. Years of experience with both stylists and customers gives me a great advantage as a business owner. I am excited to work with this talented team of hair stylists

After moving to this community 6 years ago I fell in love with it! I am thankful The Mall at Johnson City gave me the opportunity to open Jmax Salon. I look forward to being involved with the community and serving their needs!

I’m Peggy, the manager of Jmax Salon. I have been in the beauty industry for 34 years. I chose this industry because everyday is a learning experience and I love a challenge! After 23 years as a manager I am a stronger person. I love my team who are like family to me.

Hello there, my name is Harrison. 36 years ago I started my career in the Beauty Industry. Discovering how I can make a difference in my guests' lives is the most important part of my job. Seeing their smile when they leave my chair brings never ending rewards as a hairstylist.

I love every aspect of the industry but Color has always been my passion.

I worked as an educator for both Matrix and Wella Professional Color.

My specialty is color and men’s haircuts.

Hi, I’m Robyn. 32 years ago I chose the hair industry as my career. I knew it would be a fun and rewarding job. I’ve not been disappointed yet! There is nothing more rewarding than making people look pretty and feel better about themselves! My guests are more like friends!

My specialties include short haircuts, kid’s cuts, color and formal hair styling.

I’m Margo. 15 years ago my high school cosmetology teacher inspired me to pursue a career in the hair industry. If I'm being honest…..the movie Steel Magnolias was what most influenced my career choice. I must have watched it over 1000 times! I love to make people feel and look pretty from the inside out.

Although I love all aspects of hair, my specialty is any and all color services.

I’m Melissa. For 34 years I have been a hairstylist. My passion is making people feel and look beautiful about themselves. My goal is that every guest leaves my chair happy.

On a personal note, I love spending time with my 5 grandchildren! Life is good!

I especially enjoy haircuts and hair coloring.

Hello everyone, I’m Sara. After 7 years as a hairstylist I still love everything to do with hair. My biggest reward is helping guests feel better about themselves by giving them the right cut, color or just a new style. I cherish each and every guest like family.

I specialize in all aspects of color, from platinum to color corrections.

Hi. I’m Amanda. I have been in the hair industry for 20 years.

I chose this career because I like people and I like to have fun! Giving a guest a total makeover is my favorite part of the job! I love seeing their expression when the makeover is complete.

I specialize in children’s cuts, drastic haircuts and complete color change.

I love my job! I have been a cosmetologist for 29 years. I graduated from “TN School of Beauty” in Knoxville TN.

It has been an amazing journey and I look forward to many more years of helping people look and feel better about their self. I love all areas of this profession, but shaping and styling are probably my favorite.
